Bookkeeping & year end accounts packages are bespoke to fit your company’s needs.
Are you distracted away from your daily operations by bookkeeping chores?
Bookkeeping is a service that is more cost-efficient to outsource than to employ in-house.
As a small business accountant, we offer expert bookkeeping services to keep your business compliant and on track.
Business owners often feel that bookkeeping is one of the most tiresome parts of running their business. They would much rather be out there making things happen and making money from their business. And because everyone hates bookkeeping most people end up doing it in the evenings and weekends.
Yet should not evenings and weekends be spent playing with the kids, spending time with your friends and loved ones or out enjoying your hobbies?
It is so important to keep the right accounting records in order to comply with legal requirements. HMRC can charge you a penalty if your records are not accurate, complete and readable. You may have to pay interest and penalties if your figures turn out to be wrong and as a consequence you have not paid enough tax. The tax authorities may check your records to make sure you are paying the right amount of tax.
As part of the bookkeeping services, LAS Accounting takes care of all the basics to keep your business on track and hassle free when it comes to finance and accounts, not only for HMRC compliance, but also for an accurate picture of how your business is performing.
This includes but is not limited to:
At LAS Accounting we use Quickbooks accounting software.
Quickbooks is not only a leading accounting software used by millions of businesses worldwide, but it is also known for its excellent customer service, user-friendly interface and timely response to any technical issues you may encounter.
Sage accounting software is the world’s largest provider to small businesses. It has recently updated all its systems and we are very pleased with its new, modern, user friendly interface.
If you are not already using any cloud accounting software, we will assess your needs and get you hooked up with either Sage or Quickbooks, whichever is best for you. Moving to a cloud accounting software will be one of the best decisions you have made with respect to knowing your numbers.
Don’t panic if you have never used cloud accounting before. It’s super simple, and we will talk you through everything you need to know.
LAS Accounting do not use Xero accounting software and have no plans to use it in the near future. If you are already on Xero and are very keen to remain with them, we may not be the best option for you.
Everyday bookkeeping has many advantages. It can help you keep track of supplier invoices and payments as well as give you early warning if you need to chase debtors. It is a timely way of monitoring your business performance and is key to business growth.
Bookkeeping serves as the cornerstone of an organisation’s financial and business reporting, impacting its performance in the longer run. Effective bookkeeping also helps business owners, individuals, partnerships or companies plan their inflows and outflows in a more organised manner.
Bookkeeping can have material implications if not appropriately tended. Contrastingly, if bookkeeping is given due importance as the basis of an entity’s structure, it improves the operational smoothness of the organisation as a whole while keeping the HMRC at its right side.
